The Comptroller, Correctional Service, Kano Command, Magaji Ahmed has dismissed media reports that the Kano singer, Yahaya Sharrif who was sentenced to death for blasphemy by a Sharia Court was denied access to lawyers and quality meal.

Abdullahi said the report was baseless and unfounded.

He said some lawyers who recently applied to see the condemned singer were granted access to him.

When asked about the condition of the singer, he said Sharrif was doing fine and well fed.
