The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Tukur Buratai has commended the people of the North East for aiding the Nigeria Army in the war against insurgency.
The Army Chief said the military will continue to take proactive measures to tackle insecurity in the region.
The Chief Of Army Staff stated this while on a tour of 301 Artillery Regiment in Gombe as part of his visit to military formation in the North East.
The Chief of Army Staff inspected various projects under construction; expressing satisfaction at the pace of work.

Speaking, the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya called for more support from the Nigerian Army; emphasizing the strategic position the state occupies in the North East.
