Local government pensioners across the seventeen councils of Plateau state have called on the State government to help them recover their rights, freedom, and privileges to end the inhuman treatment they are suffering for about ten years now.
They lamented that, many of their members have died from the situations they could have handled, if there was fund.
The retirees who gathered in Jos, had just one agenda, a better welfare just to keep them going, they lamented the non payment of gratuity and pension arrears amongst others.

The retirees added that, having used them for thirty five years, it was unfortunate government has turned deaf ears to their cries, hence they all feeling abused, bruised and abandoned.
Although they are still hopeful that the state government, will quickly intervene and save them from the current hardship.
