The Abia State Police command has arrested 4 suspects in connection with the attack on 5 Mobile Force Personnel last Monday, at Okagwe, Ohafia Local Government Area of the State.
The State Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede confirmed the arrests while briefing Journalists in Umuahia.
The Commissioner of Police confirmed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp officer, Robinson Abel, who shot and killed one Onyekachi Nwogu of Umuokoro Umuokpo, in Obingwa Local Government Area, has also been arrested.
She said the affected policemen who were attached to 28 and 55 Squadrons were on official operations in the area when they were attacked.
A police inspector, Princewill Divine was killed in the attack while another had his wrist cut off; leaving others left with varied degrees of injury.
