Despite the recent peace accord organised by the Atyap Traditional Council in Zango Kataf and that of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, it appears peace is still very far from communities in the area.
This follows the attack on Hayin Doruwa in Zaman Dabo Ward of Zango Kataf Local Government Area in the late hours of Thursday. Some armed men suspected to be herdsmen invaded the community at about 23:28 pm killing 2 people, burning down 11 houses and destroying food items. The victims killed are Benjamin Sunday and Kahu Ishaya.

Security operatives have been deployed to the community and authorities say they are on top of the situation.
