Following the resurgence of attacks and insecurity in Benue State, President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been called upon to as a matter of urgency increase security deployment to the State to check the high level of crime.

Senior Special Assistant To the State Governor on Youth Mobilization and Empowerment, Moses Mkeenem, made this call while briefing newsmen in Makurdi, the state capital.

Mkeenen noted that the call became necessary following continued armed militia attacks adding that herdsmen are still grazing on peoples farmlands in the state and causing Mayhem, killing people and raping their wives, mothers and sisters despite government efforts to resettle IDPs in the state.

Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization and Empowerment was intentional and specific in his message to the youths following the uncoordinated activities of some which have contributed to the worsening security situation in the state.
