The president of the International Criminal Police Organisation, INTERPOL, Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, of the United Arab Emirates has arrived Nigeria ahead of the Nigeria Police Senior Officers conference and retreat holding in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
Speaking at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Vice President INTERPOL Africa, retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police Garba Umar told AIT NEWS that Al-Raisi’s visit is at the instance of Nigeria’s acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Umar also said the visit of the president of INTERPOL is part of efforts to boost the efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force in intelligence sharing and operations
The theme for this year’s conference and retreat for senior police officers is, “Fostering Economic Prosperity, Social Integration, and Political Development Through Enhanced Internal Security Mechanisms.”.
