The Nigerian Medical Association, (NMA), says it has resolved to work with relevant stakeholders, to ensure that all forms of quackery are stamped out of the profession.
Addressing a News Conference, as part of activities to mark the 2023 Physicians’ Week, the Kaduna State Chairman of the Association, Dr. Madaki Sheyin, warned that anyone caught in unwholesome practices will face the law.
The NMA frowned at the government’s plan to stop funding the Medical and Dental Council, noting that it is ill-conceived, and can only lead to disaster.
The Association is also calling on the Kaduna State government to immediately commence the payment of the approved and reviewed CONMESS salary structures, with their arrears, for medical doctors and dentists.
