Gombe State

Gombe state government says it is collaborating with members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) to help in educating and mentoring students in science education and impacts it would have in their careers and society.

The aim according to the State government is to give the students a holistic view of science education and to help them in the careers they intend to pursue.

The annual conference of Pharmacists in Nigeria holding in Gombe, has offered some students the opportunity to experience what they learn in the classrooms being applied in practical life situations, thereby opening the space and broadening their knowledge, as well as shaping their choices of the careers they intend to pursue.

At the event, the students were introduced to a career pharmacy and entrepreneurship, where they were shown what their intended profession is, the impact it would have on them and the society.

The state government believes that the initiative to expose and mentor the students at the scholarly level is important as it would motivate and inspire them to understand the essence of education.

ait.live reports that the practicing Pharmacists say they are happy to share their experiences and are eager to mentor students from the North East zone of Nigeria to join the league of professionals in the country.

Experts believe this may well be an opportunity for the Gombe state government to create avenues of enhancing students interests, especially the girl child on education in the state.
