Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has challenged current leaders of the country to strive for the stability and development of the nation, stressing that if all leaders were to be like Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Nigeria will be much better.

Chief Obasanjo spoke on Thursday at the 2023 edition of the Bayelsa State Annual Thanksgiving service held in Yenagoa, the State capital.

The former President noted that Governor Douye Diri in this first term of office, has comprehended the very good foundation laid by his predecessor and he was glad with what he has met on ground.

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri in his address to the people explained that the essence of governance, was to bring joy to the people and not misery.
