The executives of the reformed Peoples Democratic Party, rPDP and their members in Adamawa State have returned back to the mainstream PDP.
The reformed Peoples Democratic Party, (rPDP) broke away from the PDP in the run up to the 2025 General Elections.
The executive committee members of the rPDP from the Ward level were received at the Yola Government House.
Welcoming the leadership and members of the rPDP, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Tahir Shehu said on several occasions, the PDP called on the followers of rPDP to desist from creating confusion in the party.
Tahir commended their decision to join hands to move the party and the State forward.
The ruling party in the State also celebrated the decamping of a former Acting Governor and former Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly, James Barka from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The return of the leadership of the rPDP together with hundreds of their members brings to an end; the existence of the factional rPDP in the State.
