The Nigerian Military says it is prepared to shoulder its responsibility as members of the armed forces especially in the current fight against insurgency terrorism kidnapping cattle rustling cultism and other forms of insecurity bedevilling the country.
Commander Operations OPWS Sunday Igbinomwanhia who gave the commitment during the annual 10km walk at the Nigerian Airforce base in Makurdi, Benue State capital says their mandate to ensure peace and stability in the State will equally be vigorously pursued.
This 10km walk and jog which began at the Nigerian Airforce base Makurdi, Benue State, is preceded by a fitness exercise and medical check-up to ascertain that officers and men are fit to embark on the training.

An annual routine which the Air Officer commanding tactical air command, Francis Edosa says is targeted at ensuring its personnel remain fit and combat-ready to confront the country’s myriad of security problems.
The high point of the event was the presentation of gifts to winners in the various categories.
