The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has described the Supreme Court Judgement on the 2023 election as a show of unreasonable force. He says the decision contradicts evidence of rigging presented before it.

Peter Obi said this at his first briefing after the Supreme Court Judgement on his 51 grounds of appeal, challenging the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court.

It was a formal reaction of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi after the judgement by the Supreme Court delivered on October 26, 2023.
While he described the Supreme Court judgment as a breach of confidence, Obi said he had taken time for a deep, sober mood on the Court decision as the country is confronted with weighty issues of national interest.

Obi promised that he and the Labour Party will continue to canvass for good governance and focus on issues that promote national interest, unity, and cohesion.

While answering questions about Tinubu’s government, Obi faults the 2023 Supplementary Budget proposal, particularly the sum of N1.5 billion earmarked for vehicles for the Office of the First Lady, N5 billion on a presidential yacht, and another N12.5 billion on the Presidential Air Fleet.

Obi, who seems to be warming up for the 2027 election, advised all supporters to remain with the vision and mission of a new Nigeria.
