The beneficiaries of the Federal Government Social Investment Programme, Npower, across the 36 States including FCT, have described their sudden disengagement from the scheme without proper transition into the Civil Service as unfair.

National President of the N-Power Beneficiaries Forum, Kabiru Pelemi, said in Ilorin Kwara State, that the development has impacted negatively on the nation’s economy, as most of the disengaged volunteers are in their productive age.

Kabiru Pelemi maintained that it was rather unfair to disengage them into the Labour market as this make mockery and rendered the original motive useless.

Also speaking, the chairman of the forum, Mubarak Bello noted that the Federal Government is owing about 14,000 beneficiaries of the scheme, their five months stipend allowance, across the 36 states including FCT.
