After what has been described as an attempt to set the Jos division of the Court of Appeal building ablaze, Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Julius Alawari has warned against unlawful protests and disruption of peace in the state.
The warning was contained in a statement signed by ,the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command Alfred Alabo and made available to newsmen in Jos.
Large crowds of people on Wednesday staged protests in different parts of the state capital against the judgement of the Court of Appeal nullifying the election of National Assembly members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
The protesters blocked the Mararaban Jama’a Roundabout which is the major entrance and exit route from Jos.
