About thirteen suspected criminals have been paraded by the Ekiti State Police Command for drug trafficking, armed robbery, rape and conspiracy to commit other crimes.
Addressing journalists at the command’s headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, Thursday, the spokesman for the command, DSP Sunday Abutu, said the suspects, who were arrested at different locations in the state based on tip-off and intelligence gathering were found with items such as power generating set, forty bags of cannabis and other household materials.
One Olomolaye Sesan according to the police spokesman, was also arrested for the rape of a teenager.
The accused wife was also said to have used hot iron on the rape victim who is her sibling over allegations of spending one hundred naira made from the goods hawked on the faithful day.
