The Nigerian government is set to establish a National Commission for Almajiri and out-of-school children in efforts to tackle the challenges posed by child poverty and related problems.
Minister Of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman who addressed the 42nd session of UNESCO told the global gathering that Nigeria has maintained steady progress in education development.

The Education minister also said the sector is going green and advancing, following the introduction of subjects on climate change and artificial intelligence in schools’ curriculum.
Professor Tahir noted that Nigeria is fully committed to UNESCO’s ideals, programmes and policies to achieve the sustainable Development goals and other global development targets
