The minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed wants the organised labour to shelve its planned nationwide strike on Monday over the recent fuel pump price hike and electricity tariff as such move would not be in the overall interest of the ordinary Nigerians.

Lai Mohammed stated this position when he interacted with online publishers and other media men in Lagos Saturday where he defended the federal government’s deregulation of the petroleum sector and electricity tariff hike which he described as the best option for now.
