About thirteen suspected criminals have been paraded by the Ekiti State Police Command for alleged drug trafficking, armed robbery, rape and conspiracy to commit other forms of crimes.
Addressing journalists at the command’s headquarters in Ado- Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, the spokesman for the command, DSP Sunday Abutu, said the suspects, who were arrested at different locations in the state based on tip-off and intelligence gathering were found with items which include power generating set, forty bags of cannabis and other household materials .
One Olomolaye Sesan according to the police spokesman, was also arrested over the rape of a teenager whom the police authority said raped the victim several times.
The accused wife was also said to have used hot iron on the rape victim who is her sibling over allegations of spending one hundred naira made from the goods hawked on the faithful day.
