President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded 8 nominees to the Senate for confirmation as Justices of the Supreme Court.
The request of the President is contained in an executive correspondence read on the floor at Tuesday’s plenary by the Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
The nominees are Justice Lawal Garba, Justice Helen Ogunwumiju, Justice Abdu Aboki and Justice M. Salauwa

Others are Justice Adamu Jauro, Justice Samuel Oseji, Justice Tijani Abubakar and Justice Emmanuel Agim
The request is expected to be refered to the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Legal and Human Rights which will screen the nominees.
