Suspected terrorists have killed a Mobile Policeman attached to the Maru Police Division.
The Policeman was killed when the terrorists launched an attack on the Ruwandoruwa Community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The terrorists were also said to have abducted at least fifteen persons at Ruwadoruwa, and four persons at Nahuche, including the wife of the District Head of Ruwandoruwa Community.
Eyewitness accounts said the incidents happened in the early hours of Saturday, at about 1:20 a.m. until 3:30 a.m. when they left the troubled community with their victims.
The suspected terrorists who rounded up the troubled community planned to kidnap the district head.
When they could not find him, they abducted his wife.
In the Nahuche community, the terrorists went to selected houses, where they abducted four people.
The Zamfara State Police command has not yet confirmed the incident.
Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State has come under attack in recent times by suspected terrorists, who abduct and kill innocent people and rustle their cattle in the affected communities.
