The Nigerian government says it is at the verge of re-enacting and reciprocating the bilateral education agreement with China and Romania, by offering scholarships to their students.
Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman revealed this at the pre-departure briefing of bilateral education agreement scholars going to Morocco for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The Minister notes that despite the Global economic meltdown, the number of the development partners interested in working with Nigeria, have increased and many now offer scholarships to Nigerians.

The Minister listed the active countries to include; Hungary, China, Algeria, Romania, Morocco, Serbia, Mexico, Egypt and Venezuela, while others not very active are; Macedonia, Poland, South Korea, Greece, Japan and Turkey
The Education Minister asked the scholars leaving Nigeria to be of good behaviours and avoid acts capable of breaching the bilateral education agreement with their country.
