The new presidential amnesty coordinator, Miland Dikio, has been charged to run a transparent and inclusive administration in order to address the yearnings and aspirations of ex-agitators.
Some Niger Deltans, who stated this to AIT’S correspondent in separate interviews, in Port Harcourt, described Dikio as a disciplinarian and a go-getter and as such, should correct the wrongs of his predecessors.
The presidential armnesty program has been experiencing leadership crises in the last three years following corruption allegations leveled against former amnesty bosses by the ex- militants.
Some Niger Deltans, who bared their minds on the issue, as well as on the new appointment of Dikio as the third amnesty boss within a space of four years under the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, affirmed that following his military background, as a retired colonel, and his track record, he is qualified to run the affairs of the programme.
