The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Campaign Council for the Ondo State governorship election has raised concern over the appointment of Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Eyitope Ogunbodede, as the Chief Returning officer for Saturday’s poll.
Chairman of the National Campaign Council, Governor Seyi Makinde, told Journalists in Akure on Thursday that Ogunbodede apart from hailing from Owo, the hometown of the standard-bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, he is also a well-known crony of the Governor.
Makinde called on the international community, particularly the UK and the US to show interest in what he described as a weighty concern on the appointment of electoral officers.
