Former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, said he has not in anyway jumped bail in his ongoing trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Maina’s trial was billed to resume on September 29, 2020, and has not been holding following his absence before the court for six times.
In a recorded video interview made available to newsmen on Thursday, Maina said he is bedridden presently in a hospital not disclosed for a knee injury and the doctor said he will need up to seven weeks to recover.
Maina, who was arraigned by the EFCC on October 25, 2019, on a 12-count charge of fraud said the federal government is owing to him some percentage from the monies he recovered during his stay in office as chairman of the task team.
