Bauchi State Government says it is determined to address the challenges of malnutrition which contributes to high rate of infant mortality across the state.
The State Deputy Governor Mohammed Auwal Jatau gave the commitment at the official inauguration of the state Council On Nutrition in Bauchi state North East Nigeria.
Muhammad Auwal Jatau who is also the state chairman Council on Nutrition says Governor Bala Mohammed led administration is concerned about the well being of the citizens especially new born babies who are the most vulnerable regarding various health challenges.
While appreciating development partners for supporting the state through various Interventions in addressing malnutrition, the Deputy Governor Mohammed Auwal Jatau assured of adequate funding in the sector towards achieving the desired objectives.

In their separate remarks the assistant country director of the CARE International, Jennifer Orgle Assured of their maximum support to the state malnutrition policies for sustainable growth and development.
The Council members include government officials, experts, civil society organisations, the private sector among others and are charged to see the success of the programme.
