Adamawa Police Command has embarked on two-week community engagement to prevent herders/farmers crisis.
The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adeyanju, has been visiting some communities in Maiha Local Government Area, to interact with the Council Chairman, community/religious leaders, representatives of the herders and farmers among others, on the need to embrace the existing peace in their areas.
He advised them against actions and utterances that could hinder peace.
The CP also charged Police officers and other law enforcement agents to act in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedures of the force and other extant laws guiding their overall conduct.
Adeyanju warned that any police officer found acting contrary to their oaths of office or behaving in a manner prejudicial to their discipline will be strictly and personally held liable.

On behalf of the communities visited, the Council Chairman and District Heads of Sorou and Belel communities, commended the initiative of the Police Commissioner towards preventing farmers/herders crisis.
