The Nigerian society of engineers has urged the federal government to make deliberate efforts towards full reactivation and modernization of the Ajaokuta iron and steel complex.
In a communique at the end of its 56th National Engineering Conference, exhibition and annual general meeting the body urged the government to put in place enabling policies for made in Nigeria products.
The Chairman of the engineering body in a chat with news men says members of the society are actively involved in the current effort to rehabilitate the refineries across the country.
The conference noted the importance of the micro, Small and Medium enterprises which they said are well suited for promoting rural development.
