Youths in Kano State have staged a peaceful rally demanding an end to rising insecurity, banditry, rape and kidnapping in North-West Nigeria.
The protest is coming when the #EndSARS protest is attracting sympathisers across the country.
The Kano protest spearheaded by students and performing musicians from Kannywood was however interrupted by armed thugs at Kofar Famfo, near the Bayero University Kano, BUK.

An eye witness, Sani Mai Katanga told ait.live that about 40 people were injured forcing the protesters to disperse.
The protesters planned to march from BUK to meet another group of protesters at Zoo Road and terminate at Gidan Murtala Secretariat.
