The Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum, Salihu Lukman has called on the Federal Government to urgently review the implementation of government welfare initiatives and ensure the provision of specific packages targeting young people in addition to meeting the specific demands of the #ENDSARS protests.
The DG of the Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in a statement on Sunday said the police reform by the government will not be enough to douse the prevailing tension in the country.

He noted that the current wave of #ENDSARS protest will determine whether the APC leaders can take steps to affirm the credential of being committed to social change.
Lukman says the ability of the party leaders to develop sophisticated structure and strategy that will earn the trust and confidence of the protesting youths is a big challenge. The DG noted that the protest and its popularity among young people is proof that Nigeria youths are troubled and at the receiving end of all the woes the country is facing in any respect.
