The Nigerian Senate has adopted its decision to donate the entire December salaries of all members of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly to the families of the victims of the accidental missile fired by the Nigerian Army on unarmed civilians inTudun Biri, in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The decision follows the adoption of the report of the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin after he led a delegation of senators, to commiserate with the people of the state.

The lawmakers agreed to give out the sum of N109 million, as a tribute to the families of the affected, as well as to help relieve their sufferings.

There was an earlier resolution by a delegation of the Red Chamber, to commiserate with the government and people of the state.

The senate says it leaves the incident to God, amidst calls from many quarters for a thorough investigation into the incident.

Federal lawmakers in the Senate observed a minute of silence, in honour of the citizens killed by military airstrikes in Tundu Biri Village in Kaduna State.

A high-powered delegation led by the Deputy Senate President, Jubrin Barau, had on Sunday extended senate condolences to the governor and people of Kaduna State.
