The demolition of the Rivers State house of assembly complex on the directive of Governor Siminalayi Fubara has continued to elicit reactions from residents.
Though it would cost billions of naira for government to reconstruct a brand new complex ,residents say the benefits of a new complex outweighed the pains that would have followed a collapsed structure after the building failed integrity test following the fire outbreak that burnt down the hallowed chamber to ruins.
They urged politicians to play by the rules of engagement so that the ordinary people can enjoy the dividends of democracy.
