The Police in Akwa Ibom State has arrested 10 suspects involved in vandalization and stealing of property during the violence that rocked the #ENDSARS #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY protests in Uyo, the state capital.
The Commissioner of Police, Amiengheme Andrew who paraded the suspects and items recovered, assured that more stolen property would be recovered.
The hitherto peaceful protests in Akwa Ibom state turned violent on Thursday after an operative of the Nigeria Correctional Service allegedly shot dead a youth.

That led to arson attacks, vandalization, and the stealing of property in the state capital, Uyo. Fortunately, the police have recovered some of the stolen items and the suspected perpetrators arrested.
The recovered stolen property worth millions of Naira included the following; Fourteen Deep Freezers, Six Refrigerators, Eight flat Screen Television sets, Four water dispensers, Sixteen bags of rice, Four Air conditioners, a printer, chairs, and other items.
CP Andrew, commended the state government and sister security agencies for their support in helping to arrest the situation.
The CP appealed to the people to remain law abiding, as pepertrators of criminal act would face the full weight of the law.
