Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade has charged security agencies currently operating in the state to commence House to House Search to look for critical state and private assets looted by hoodlums in Calabar and its environment.

Ayade who was accompanied by some service commanders in the state made this known to journalists this during an on-the-spot assessment of damaged property in Calabar, the state capital.

The Governor, while assuring the youths that their welfare will henceforth be given priority, advised those who looted critical assets of the state and private homes to return them or face the law.

He urged the security agencies to take legitimate actions to ensure that calm returns to the state, especially as the government is already working towards ensuring the demands of those who genuinely participated in the #EndSARS march are met.

The Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, Abdulkadir Jimoh said peace has been restored to the city, while some of the hoodlums have been arrested.

Some of the destroyed property visited include the Calabar International Convention Center (CICC), the Nigerian Chronicles and Ayade Industrial Park.
