Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has signed into the 2024 Appropriation Bill of N258 billion into law.
While signing the appropriation bill and three other bills, the Governor said the Appropriation Bill tagged, “Budget of Consolidation and Continuity for Inclusive Growth” will further help Kogi State attain greater heights.
Presenting the 2024 budget for accent, Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf, explained that the legislature diligently considered the budget and interfaced with all the MDAs to ensure that it reflected the interest of the people
Governor Bello thanked the lawmakers for the expeditious passage of the appropriation bill and assured them that the incoming administration would ensure implementation with little difficulty.
Other Bills accented to by Governor Yahaya Bello include a bill to repel and re-enact the state Local Government law 2000, and a bill establishing the Kogi State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission.
