A 22-member advocacy and implementation team on Sexual Gender Based Violence SGBV has been inaugurated in Benue State.
The wife of the state Governor, Eunice Ortom who inaugurated the response team in Makurdi the state capital, urged them to re-strategize to fight against the violence in every form.
Statistics released by the United Nations indicate that 1 out of 3 women worldwide experience physical or sexual abuse in their lifetime, This demands urgent strengthened global mitigation response.

It is in this regard that the wife of the Governor, Eunice Ortom, responded at the state level by inaugurating the response team, to boost the fight against the ugly menace.
The 22 member advocacy team is drawn from the academia, media, civil society, religious as well as the security agencies.
