The Federal Government has promised to stop the culture of impunity and crimes against Nigerian journalists.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami made this known in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Umar Gwandu.

In the message to mark the United Nations International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, Malami said it is heartwarming that Nigeria is no longer on the list of countries with records of impunity for crimes against journalists.

He stated further that with the implementation of the Cybercrime Act 2015, the rate of cyber-related crimes will be minimized.
