VP Shettima Visits Plateau, Assures Of Govt’s Efforts To End Killings In The State

President Bola Tinubu says his administration will put an end to the Senseless killings that has claimed scores of lives with property worth billions of Naira destroyed in plateau State.

This was made known by the Vice President Kashim Shettima who led the federal Government delegation to Jos on a condolence visit to the Government and people of state which included the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribado and the Chief of Defense staff Lt. Gen. Chris Musa where they also visited some of the affected communities.

The Vice President Kashim Shetima and his delegation who arrived at the Yakubu Gowon Airport Haipang were received by Governor Caleb Mutfwang in company of two former Governors of the state.

Thereafter, they proceeded to Bokkos Local Government which was worse hit by the attack with over one Hundred and forty lives lost.

While sympathizing with the people, the vice president said the Bola Tinubu’s administration will leave no stone unturned in putting an end to the Senseless killings that has been going on the state.

Governor Mutfwang while appreciating the federal Government for the support, called on Political Leaders in the state to put away their differences and join hands to end the killings.

The vice President later held a town hall meeting which had various Political, religious and traditional Groups in attendance before departing the State.
