Kebbi State Government is set to establish a Commission for Persons Living With Disability (PWDs).
The Commissioner for Information and Culture Yakuu Ahmed announced this at a Press briefing held at Government House, Birnin Kebbi shortly after the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Gov. Nasir Idris.
He explained that the decision to establish the commission was reached at the State Executive Council meeting snd sent the Bill to the legislature .
According to him, the governor after hearing complaints from some persons with disability during the programme directed the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State to quickly prepare the bill and send to the Council meeting for onward transmission to the State House of Assembly for approval.
The Commissioner reiterated that as soon as the House of Assembly ratifies the bill , the governor will sign it into law.
