The Conference Of Northern States Civil Society Networks has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his political will to promptly suspend the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu to pave way for investigations into corruption allegations against her.
Chairman of the group, Ibrahim Waiya in an exclusive interview with ait.livei n Kano said, President Bola Tinubu has proven that he is ready to fight corruption and better the economy.
From allegedly approving money for air flight to Kogi state which at the moment does not have an airport, to transferring money to a private account, the now suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, has been in the news for the wrong reasons in the past few days.
Chairman, Conference Of Northern States Civil Society Networks, Ibrahim Waiya has given thumbs up to President Tinubu for acting timely after public outcry to suspend the minister on corruption allegations.

Waiya wants the President to beam his search light on other Ministers and public officials who served in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
As Betta Edu submits to investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Northern CSOs want Nigerians to give the anti graft agency the needed information and support to effectively prosecute the allegation in the interest of Nigerians.
