Corps Marshal of Federal Road Safety Corps, Boboye Oyeyemi was in Lagos on Friday to assess the level of damage to facilities of the Road Safety Corps in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protest.
Addressing journalists, Opeyemi said 37 patrol vehicles were destroyed nationwide; 16 of them in Lagos.
He raised concerns over the level of destruction to his agency’s facilities; which he said has been a major hindrance to the smooth operations of the corps.
The road safety corps boss said the agency will send a report to the government to seek necessary support in recovering what has been lost.
With growing concerns that there are few officers on the highway due to fear of attacks, the Corps Marshal said patrol activities will resume fully next Monday.
