Reports reaching ait.live indicate that the Joint Labour Congress in Kwara State, North central Nigeria, comprising Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other affiliate unions have issued a 14-day ultimatum to the State government to down tools should the authorities fail to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached with the workers.
The MoU is aimed at cushioning the biting effects of the subsidy removal and other grievances earlier raised by the workers.
