The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Kaleb Mutfwang as the validly elected governor of Plateau state.
The Apex court in its decision, set aside the judgment of the court of appeal on grounds that the court of appeal lacks the jurisdiction to determine the validity of the primaries held in the state.
The court also held that the APC has no right to meddle in the party affairs of the PDP.

On the issue of the Congress held, the apex court also noted that the decision of the lower court has nothing to do with the administrative activities of the National Executive Council of the party.
The court held that the appallate court was wrong in its view that the trial courts decision affects the power of the NEC in the conduct of primaries.
While noting that the decision of the lower court was an abuse of court process, the five-man panel upheld the decision of the state tribunal which affirmed Mutfwang’s election.
