The Minister of Women Affairs, UJU KENNEDY-OHANENYE has called for an investigation into a viral video in which a female Nigerian Army personnel by name Ruth Ogunleye came out with allegations of sexual harassment by her superiors.
In a statement, the Minister described the contents of the video as disturbing and should not be swept under the carpet noting that women should not be subjected to any form of maltreatment, dehumanization or harassment.
The women affairs minister said she has initiated communication with the Nigerian Army high Command to ensure that the allegations of sexual harassment are thoroughly investigated and culprits sanctioned accordingly.
In the video which is currently trending on various social media platforms, the Lady alleged that she has been subjected to all forms of unfair treatment and stigmatization by her superiors, who according to her, stopped her salary since last year, drugged her and ejected her from her apartment.
