Ebonyi State Governor Distributes Vehicles To Medical Doctors

The Ebonyi State government, South East Nigeria is repositioning its healthcare sector with the distribution of operational vehicles to Medicals doctors in the 13 General Hospitals of the State.

Governor Francis Nwifuru says the facility is to motivate and encourage the medical doctors operating mainly in the rural areas.

The Governor who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, at the flag-off of over 40 personal operational vehicles and ambulances to the General Hospitals, advises the medical doctors to ensure that the facilities should be used for the purpose it is meant.

“The vehicle should be used for the purpose it’s meant for and carter for the health of the people. All the General Hospitals in the state have been provided with ambulances and should be parked right in the hospital not for private use.”

Uzor says the present administration is committed to prioritizing the health status of Ebonyi people, pointing out that operational vehicles to the medical doctors is to make their work easy by the provision of mobility to enable them discharge their duties effectively.

ait.live recalls that the Ebonyi State Governor had upon assumption of office, employed additional numbers of medical doctors in the State, pledged his commitment to improving the infrastructure at the primary healthcare levels as well as improving the overall welfare packages of the medical doctors to enable them stay in the State and not to leave for greener pastures outside Nigeria.
