Operatives of the Kwara State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), have arrested two suspects for alleged falsification of expiry dates on some soft drinks.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Umar Mohammed who disclosed this while briefing Journalists at the Command’s headquarters in Ilorin, the state capital said the action of the suspects exposes residents to public risks and danger.
Mohammed also disclosed of the arrest of a 37 year- old suspect for attempting to kidnap four primary school pupils, whose ages rang from between eight and three years.
The victims were said to be on their way home after school hour at Isale Asa, Opo-Malu of Ilorin metropolis.
The NSCDC commandant said the two suspects involved the alleged falsification of expiry dates on soft drinks, would be handed over to NAFDAC for further investigations and possible prosecution, while the Corps would charge the suspected kidnapper to court.
