The clerk to the national assembly (CNA), Ojo Olatunde Amos, has called on staff of the national assembly to eschew ethnicity and religious bigotry in the discharge of their duties as public servants.

The Clerk made the call as he formally declared opened, the 4th quarter training workshop for staff, for efficient service delivery in procurement, works, and estate management.

Amos charged his workforce to always put national interest above any parochial sentiments, in line with their oath of allegiance, which he said is sufficiently made clear in the public service rules.

” We must love our jobs as we love ourselves, we must not allow ourselves to be pulled down or controlled by negative doctrines of ethnicity, religious sentiments, unnecessary parochialism, backbiting, and infighting”, he said.

The workshop is the 4th in a series of 11 of such training programmes for national sssembly staff.

The clerk to the national assembly said, there will be more of such training programs for staff under his watch. He stressed that a well-trained individual can never be stagnant, ignorant, or redundant.

He assured the workers that under his leadership, their welfare will be a matter of priority and adequately addressed.

In return for all of the good gestures, the clerk asked the staff to apply themselves to duty with undiluted loyalty.
