Alushi appealed to the community leaders to cooperate with security agencies to check illegal activity on the waterways. which he says, is having negative effects on the nation’s economy.

He said the Navy will not relent in its efforts to end crude oil theft, illegal refiners, cultism and other related crimes in the region.

This comes just two weeks after the launch of “Operation Delta Sanity” by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla to combat maritime crimes.
