The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the bye-election in Jalingo-Yorro-Zing Yorro Federal Constituency of Taraba State inconclusive
The Returning Officer, Professor Ayuba Kwada says a winner could not be declared because the margin of lead between the two candidates with the highest votes is less than the total number of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs collected by registered voters in polling units where elections were cancelled.
After the collation of results, Sadiq Abbas of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP had 17,214 votes, while Innocent Jabayang of the Social Democratic Party, SDP had 15,537. The total number of PVCs collected in cancelled polling units is 14,759.

The Commission is therefore to conduct supplementary election in the affected polling units in the federal constituency before a winner can be returned elected for the House of Representatives seat
