The urgent need for Nigerians to take advantage of the enormous potential in the hospitality and tourism industry by keying into capacity development and skills acquisition for self-reliance has been highlighted.
This was the position of the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed along with other dignitaries at the official handover of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism North-Central campus in Makurdi, the Benue State capital by the state to the federal authorities.
The Minister as well as the Director-General Of the Institute, Sani Kangiwa highlighted its benefits which will amongst others fill up the huge deficit in stills acquisition.

On the issue of insecurity, Mohammed maintained that the Federal Government will continue to live up to its responsibility of securing the country.
The Institute offers a wide range of courses which cut across the entire hospitality and tourism sector.
